Benjamin Mazatis can be seen in millions of German households this coming weekend. The public TV station BR (Bayerischer Rundfunk) will be showing a report in the well-known sports programme ‚Blickpunkt Sport‘ focusing on the ‚Fascination of Motorsport‘. A BR reporter team accompanied Benjamin and two other drivers at the race track and at home.
The filming took place at the last ADAC Formula 4 race weekend in Oschersleben as part of the DTM. The team then visited the 17-year-old in his home town of Bruckmühl. There, the reporters accompanied Benjamin during training and test drives in his own motorsport simulator. The programme ‚Blickpunkt Sport‘ will be broadcast on Saturday, 03 October 2015 from 17:30 to 18:00.
At the same time, Benjamin will compete in the ADAC Formula 4 season finale at the Hockenheimring (02 to 04 October). The last three races of the 2015 season will take place on the traditional race track in Baden. Benjamin will be battling for points in the championship in races 22 to 24 of the season and in the rookie classification, in which only talented young drivers with no previous motorsport experience take part.
Benjamin on filming for ‚Blickpunkt Sport‘: „I'm really looking forward to the report. It's not just about the performance on the track, but also about the hard work behind the scenes. The TV team was on site in Oschersleben and I was allowed to explain my Formula 4 car in more detail. A little later, the reporters visited me at home and filmed me during training and in my simulator, which I use to prepare for the races. I am very grateful and proud to be able to present myself as a person in front of such a large television audience.“
