Benjamin Mazatis will line up for the kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport team in the new ADAC Formula 4 in the 2015 season. The driver from Bruckmühl was already signed by the racing team from the German capital last year. In 2014, Mazatis completed a training and test programme in Peter Mücke's talent factory with flying colours.
The 17-year-old can hardly wait to contest his first race in the new ADAC Formula 4 racer. In December, after being honoured with the „High Level of driving Professionalism“ diploma at the McLaren Performance Academy, he really enjoyed the test drives with his team in Spain. „It was the first rollout with the new racer. The car with its 160 hp turbo engine really suits my driving style. I really enjoyed it,“ says the Rosenheim native.
„We have known Benjamin for some time now. I think he has made excellent use of the past year in our team and he is well on the way to a successful start in formula racing,“ says Peter Mücke, the boss of the team driving for ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg. „Our entire team is looking forward to continuing to work with Benjamin. We are convinced that we can achieve success together in the new racing series. Before Benjamin, many others who have since reached higher levels in professional motorsport have already utilised this proven path that we offer young drivers.“
„After a year of testing and training with my team, kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport, I feel very well equipped for a successful year in the ADAC Formula 4. The 2015 season could start right away as far as I'm concerned. I'm really looking forward to it,“ says Benjamin Mazatis.
The ADAC Formula 4 cars compete with turbo engines from Abarth and chassis from the Italian manufacturer Tatuus. The Italian premium tyre manufacturer Pirelli, well-known from Formula 1, will supply the junior series with tyres. The first ADAC Formula 4 season kicks off at the etropolis Motorsport Arena Oschersleben from 24 to 26 April 2015. The TV channel SPORT1+ will broadcast the races live on all eight race weekends of the season.
