Benjamin Mazatis will be visible in millions of German households next weekend. The public service broadcaster BR (Bayerischer Rundfunk) will be showing a report on its well-known sports programme, ‚Blickpunkt Sport‘, focusing on ‚Motorsport Fascination‘. A BR reporting team accompanied Benjamin and two other drivers to the race track and their homes for this purpose.

Filming took place at the last ADAC Formula 4 race weekend in Oschersleben as part of the DTM. The team then visited the 17-year-old in his hometown of Bruckmühl. There, the reporters accompanied Benjamin during training and test drives in his own motorsport simulator. The programme ‚Blickpunkt Sport‘ will be broadcast on Saturday, 3 October 2015, from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM.

At the same time, Benjamin will be competing in the ADAC Formula 4 season finale at Hockenheimring (2nd to 4th October). The final three races of the 2015 season will take place on the traditional Baden racing circuit. In races 22 to 24 of the season, Benjamin will be battling for points in the championship as well as in the rookie classification, which is exclusively for young talents without prior motorsport experience.

Benjamin on filming for ‚Blickpunkt Sport‘:

I'm really looking forward to the report. It's meant to not only highlight performance on the track but also the hard work behind the scenes. The TV crew was on-site in Oschersleben and I was allowed to explain my Formula 4 car in more detail. Shortly afterwards, the reporters visited me at home and filmed me during training and on my simulator, which I use to prepare for races. I'm very grateful and proud that I have the opportunity to present myself as a person to such a large television audience.
