So, in addition to the championship drivers in the FIA Formula 3 European Championship and ADAC Formula Masters, there will again be a test driver who will be intensively prepared for entry into formula racing. This will be Benjamin Mazatis from Bruckmühl (Rosenheim district). The Bavarian, who has just turned 16, has been signed by the racing team from the German capital for two years and is then set to compete in the ADAC Formula Masters in the 2015 season.
„We are delighted to welcome another promising talent to our team in Benjamin Mazatis. With his successes in karting and his initial experience in formula racing, he is well-equipped to master our demanding training programme and then enter the ADAC Formula Masters fully prepared and with the prospect of success,“ says Peter Mücke, the head of the team competing for ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg. „This is a proven path that our team offers to young drivers.“
This has recently been impressively demonstrated, among others, by the Israeli Roy Nissany, who is competing in the FIA Formula 3 European Championship with the kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport team in 2014, and Maximilian Günther (Rettenberg), who became vice-champion as a rookie in the ADAC Formula Masters last season after his test year in 2012.
„Mücke Motorsport swept the board in the past ADAC Formula Masters season, securing the drivers“ title, the runner-up title, and the overall team victory. This was followed by the runner-up position in the FIA Formula 3 European Championship. "I am very proud to now be a part of this family and am really looking forward to working with the experienced professionals at Mücke Motorsport," says Benjamin Mazatis, who began his motorsport journey at the age of six in slalom karting, switching to racing karting a year later and celebrating considerable success there.
In a shoot-out at the Formula BMW Talent Cup in 2012, he showed that he also has a knack for the Formula racing car, finishing second at the Red Bull Ring in Austria. „I can hardly wait for the test drives with Mücke Motorsport, which begin in March. And I will use the year intensively to be well prepared for 2015,“ explains the youngster from Bavaria.
I am very proud to now be a part of this family and am very much looking forward to working with the experienced professionals at Mücke Motorsport.
