Bruckmühl/Spielberg (A), 13.06.2014: Formula racing youngster Benjamin Mazatis from Bruckmühl was full of anticipation for Formula 1 last weekend in Austria.
The McLaren Academy protégé travelled to the Red Bull Ring for the ADAC Formula Masters race and kept his fingers crossed for a successful result for his kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport team-mates.
In an interview with the motorsport journalists who had travelled to the event, the 16-year-old was impressed by the fantastic backdrop in Styria two weeks before the long-awaited Austrian comeback of the motorsport premier class.
„It's incredible what Red Bull has organised here in Spielberg. You can feel the total motorsport enthusiasm of everyone involved and even at the ADAC GT Masters event, you could already feel the anticipation for the Formula 1 Grand Prix at the end of June.“
Preparations for the talented young driver's entry into formula racing are also currently in full swing. Under the guidance of Berlin talent scout Peter Mücke, Benjamin Mazatis is completing an extensive test programme in order to celebrate a successful debut in one of Europe's most important junior formula racing series in April of next year.
As a McLaren Young Driver, Mazatis also regularly travels to Woking in England (McLaren's headquarters) and enjoys professionally organised additional training at the coveted McLaren Performance Academy.
